A man who was rescued from his burning home on the NSW South Coast by neighbours has died despite attempts to revive him.
Just after 8am on Wednesday emergency services were called to a Sussex Inlet home, following reports of a house fire.
Police said two neighbours dragged the man the house and performed CPR until emergency services took over.
Despite their efforts the man, believed to be in his 70s, died at the scene.
He is yet to be formally identified.
One neighbour, a man also in his 70s, was flown to St George Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Another neighbour, a 46-year-old man, was taken to Shoalhaven Hospital with minor injuries.
NSW Rural Fire Service firefighters extinguished the blaze, which caused minor damage to the home.
Police are investigating the cause of the fire, which is not being treated as suspicious.
