A man has died in hospital a week after a car crash in Angus.
The 69-year-old man from Arbroath was seriously injured when his silver Nissan Micra was involved in a single-vehicle road crash on East Mary Street, at its junction with Hannah Street in the town around 1am on Thursday, June 8.
He was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee where he died on Monday, June 12. Police said today the gentleman's family are aware. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Sergeant Gordon Dickson, Road Policing Unit Dundee, said: “Our enquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances of this crash and we would urge anyone who may have seen the car involved prior to the incident, or who has any dash-cam footage to come forward if you haven’t already spoken to an officer.
“Anyone who can help is asked to call 101, quoting reference 0189 of June 8, 2023.”
