SURAT: A 40-year-old man lost his life, and two others were hospitalized during chaos at Surat railway station in Gujarat on Saturday as passengers rushed to board a special Bihar-bound train for the upcoming Chhath festival.
The crowded conditions led to panic attacks and dizziness among some passengers.
Sarjo Kumari, Superintendent of Police (Western Railway), reported that the rush resulted in people fainting. One passenger experienced a heart complication, prompting a quick response from a policeman who performed CPR before the individual was taken to the hospital.
