NAGAPPATTINAM: A 31-year-old man died after he came under the wheel of a temple chariot during a procession at Thiruchenkattankudi in Nagapattinam district in the early hours of Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as P Deepanraj of Thirukkannapuram. The tragedy struck when he was placing a wooden stopper to stop the chariot during the annual Chithirai festival of the Uthrapasupatheeswara Swamy Temple at Thiruchenkattankudi around 12.30am.
