A MAN has died after a tractor overturned in a field in Fife as police launched a probe into the incident.
Police were called to a field near the A985, Dunfermline, where a tractor had overturned at around 8pm on Friday.
Emergency services attended, but the male driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for the force said the man’s family has been notified of his death.
Detectives said the death is being treated as unexplained, but they believe there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.
The Health and Safety Executive has been informed.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8pm on Friday, June, 26, we were called to a field near the A985, Dunfermline, where a tractor had overturned.
“A man died at the scene, and his family is aware.
“The death is being treated as unexplained, but there are no suspicious circumstances.
“The Health and Safety Executive has been informed.”
