A man has died after falling from a railway bridge in Leeds this morning.
Emergency services were called to reports of a casualty on the tracks at Morley train station around 10am.
Witnesses reported six ambulances and five police cars rushing in the direction of the station in West Yorkshire.
A spokesperson for the British Transport Police confirmed there was a death at the station, and are not treating it as suspicious.
The force said: "Officers were called Morley railway station at 10.04am today (30 November) to reports of a casualty on the tracks.
" Paramedics are also in attendance, and sadly a person has been pronounced dead at the scene.
"Officers are working to identify the deceased and inform their next of kin. The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
A spokesperson for Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust added: "We received an emergency call at 10.05am this morning to reports of a male who had fallen from a bridge at Morley Railway Station.
"A number of ambulance resources were dispatched to the scene."
A 35-year-old witness was by the station at the time of the accident.
They told the Mirror: "I heard sirens and went to the window to see I think 4 ambulances and 4 police cars or vans heading down to the station. I also see there has been disruption on the railway."
Earlier this morning, National Rail reported that there was a disruption on the line between Huddersfield, Brigthouse and Leeds.
The Rail Delivery Group reported that the disruption will last until 1.15pm today.
The TransPennine Express, which runs between major cities and towns of Northern England and Scotland, added that emergency services dealt with an incident, and that "all lines are blocked."
Both services have advised that those planning their journeys around these areas should check the latest travel information, with a spokesperson for TPE adding: "Earlier this morning, a person was sadly hit by a train on the route between Huddersfield and Leeds.
"The incident caused disruption to services, but trains are now running again, albeit with knock-on delays and cancellations and customers planning to travel on this route are strongly advised to check their journey before travelling and allow extra time."
