Man dies after explosion at Perth recycling centre as second casualty rushed to hospital

Perth Scottish Fire and Rescue Service

A man has died following an explosion at a recycling centre in Perth.

Emergency crews raced to the scene following a huge explosion at around 12.45am at the Shore recycling centre on Friarton Road.

Police Scotland has confirmed that the body of a 46-year-old man was found at the scene. Formal identification has yet to take place but his next of kin are aware.
