Man dies after Download Festival medical incident

Download Festival Iron Maiden Emas

Police have confirmed that a man died after attending this year's Download Festival. Medical staff rushed into the crowd just as Iron Maiden were starting their headline set at Castle Donington on Saturday June 11. Emergency services attended to him while the headline show got underway before he was taken to hospital, reports Leicestershire Live.

The man, who has not yet been named, was taken to the Derby Royal Infirmary but later died. He had been taken ill shortly before 9pm on Saturday evening (June 11) following the Deftones performance, moments before rock legends Iron Maiden took to the stage at the Castle Donington music festival.
