Man dies after collapsing on golf course

A man has died after collapsing on a golf course.

Land and air ambulance crews were called to Runcorn Golf Club at 9.35am on Wednesday following reports of a medical emergency. Paramedics were unable to save the patient, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The ECHO received a report from a member of the public on Wednesday that three ambulances including a helicopter had been called to the club, on Clifton Road. A Cheshire Police spokesman said next of kin were at the scene when the man collapsed.
