Man criticised for shaming his wife for the bleeding she experienced after giving birth

Giving birth can be a stressful and unpleasant process for some moms; injuries can occur, and there will almost certainly be a lot of blood involved.

And, when the body recovers, there will almost certainly be a lot more blood.

It’s entirely a normal part of the experience.

But one mother has admitted that her spouse has made her feel “gross” about the bleeding since their child was born recently.

The unnamed housewife detailed how she and her spouse had a fight over her sanitary towel disposal and the bleeding she was having in a post on the popular Reddit thread, ‘Am I The A**hole’.

After a situation, her husband is sleeping in the guest room, and she’s not sure if she said something incorrect, so she sought advice on the internet.

“When I change my pad, I wrap it in toilet paper and usually the wrapper that the other one came in but sometimes just toilet tissue,” she wrote.

She further said that her husband finds it disgusting to see her “bloody tissue” that her “pad is wrapped in,” which caused them to get into an argument about her “bleeding from birthing a baby.”

“I told him I would start disposing of my pads the way he wants me to when he learns how to wipe better and I don’t have to scrub shit stains out of his boxers.”

Afterwards, her husband told her she was “out of line” and has been sleeping in the guest room for several nights as a result.

Over 2,600 people left their two cents in the comments, with many stating that the husband was at fault.

“Not the a**hole (NTA). If men only understood what women had to go through with their bodies when it comes to periods and body changes with pregnancy...they would know to swallow their tongues before saying something as absurd as this,” someone wrote.

“NTA He picked a fight with a newly postpartum woman and lost. If he doesn’t want to see your pads he can buy a trash can with a lid,” another added.
