A man is in a critical condition after being shot multiple times by police north of Brisbane.
Police responded to reports of a domestic violence incident involving a 37-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man at a home in Bray Park after midday on Monday.
Detective Superintendent Ben Fadian said the man confronted responding officers on the street, causing them to open fire.
He was struck up to three times in the torso and taken to Royal Brisbane Hospital in a critical condition.
“Initial indications are the police felt threatened to the point they had to use force to resolve the situation,” Superintendent Fadian said.
