"I'm very composed on the ball. I like to have it at my feet, so that's what fans can expect from me this season. I spoke to the manager here at the training ground and over the phone while I was away, and it is clear that the football here suits me."
Coventry boss Robins added: "He is a really good player with a lot of potential, who we know a lot about, and we're all looking forward to working with him. Callum is a regular in the England set-up and was a key player in helping the Under-19s win the European Championships only a few weeks ago, scoring in the final.
"He enjoyed a successful first season with Sunderland, helping them win promotion and, as I say, we are very happy to be able to welcome him to the club. "I'd also like to thank everyone at Manchester City for their cooperation in Callum joining us this season."
