Man City XI vs Brighton: Confirmed team news, predicted lineup and injury latest for Premier League today

Manchester City have Kevin De Bruyne available for today’s Premier League clash with Brighton.

The Belgian made a brief cameo during Tuesday night’s shock 4-1 defeat to Sporting in the Champions League following his return from a hamstring injury.

Still, it remains to be seen if Pep Guardiola wishes to risk the playmaker from the start, given the nature of De Bruyne’s issue. The City boss will provide an update at Friday’s pre-match press conference before taking his team to the south coast on Saturday evening.

City, however, can ill-afford another slip-up.

They have lost three consecutive games for the first time since 2018 and the Seagulls will offer a stern test.

Ruben Dias, John Stones and Jack Grealish are not expected to return before the international break.

Rodri and Oscar Bobb are long-term absentees.

Man City predicted XI: Ederson; Walker, Akanji, Ake, Gvardiol; Kovacic, Gundogan, Silva; Foden, Haaland, Doku

Injured: Rodri, Bobb, Dias, Stones, Grealish

Time and date: 5.30pm GMT today on Saturday 9 November 2024

Venue: Amex Stadium
