Man City vs Sheffield United prediction and odds ahead of FA Cup semi-final clash

With the title race pushed to one side this week, Manchester City have the chance to keep the treble hopes going when they face Sheffield United at Wembley Stadium in the FA Cup semi-final. Pep Guardiola has only secured the trophy once during his tenure as City boss back in 2019 when they overwhelmed Watford 6-0.

City are the clear favourites at 1/6 with Betfred to progress through to the final at Wembley while Sheffield United are 14/1 to produce a shock and secure their first FA Cup final appearance since 1936 and a draw is 13/2. However, the Blades have won all four of their FA Cup ties against City with the most recent meeting in the fourth round during the 2007/08 season.

For the Blades, they are in the case of nothing-to-lose but gives head coach Paul Heckingbottom a great chance to see how his side could play against one the best sides in Europe as they look to secure Premier League promotion this season. They currently sit seven points ahead of Luton Town in the automatic places with just four league games to go in their season.

Tips

  • Erling Haaland to score two or more goals - 11/8

  • Man City to win and over 3.5 goals - 23/20
