Man City vs Bayer Leverkusen: Prediction, kick-off time, team news, TV, live stream, h2h results, odds today

Man City bidding to make it four wins from five matches in the Champions League this season - (London Standard)

Manchester City return to Champions League action tonight with the visit of in-form Bayer Leverkusen.

Pep Guardiola’s side will be desperate to bounce back from defeat to Newcastle at the weekend, a loss that saw them fall seven points behind Arsenal in the Premier League table.

In Europe, however, Man City have been near perfect after four matches. Their only dropped points in the league phase so far was the 2-2 draw with Monaco on matchday two.

City have already beaten German opposition in this season’s competition as they overcame Borussia Dortmund 4-1 last time out to boost their hopes of a top eight finish.

Leverkusen, though, have recovered from a sticky start to the season which saw Erik ten Hag sacked to sit third in the Bundesliga table after beating Wolfsburg at the weekend.

That was a third straight win across all competitions for Kasper Hjulmand’s side, including a 1-0 victory over Benfica three weeks ago to kick-start their Champions League campaign.

Date, kick-off time and venue

Man City vs Bayer Leverkusen is scheduled for an 8pm GMT kick-off tonight, Tuesday, November 25, 2025.

The match will take place at Etihad Stadium, in Manchester.

Man City vs Bayer Leverkusen team news

Pep Guardiola has confirmed Man City have no fresh injuries ahead of the Champions League tie. This means the Spaniard will choose from the same squad he had available for the Newcastle game.

It also means Rodri remains sidelined as the Spaniard continues to recover from the hamstring injury that has seen him miss the last three matches either side of the international break.

With a fixture pile-up on the horizon, a near fully fit squad provides Guardiola with the option of freshening up his side as the likes of John Stones, Omar Marmoush and Tijjani Reijnders are pushing to start.

Leverkusen, meanwhile, arrive in England with several notable absences to contend with. Robert Andrich is suspended following his red card against Paris Saint-Germain, while Jonas Hofmann, Exequiel Palacios and Alejo Sarco are ineligible for Champions League selection.

Former Liverpool defender Jarell Quansah is expected to start, as is former Man City midfielder Aleix Garcia and Claudio Echeverri is eligible to feature against his parent club.

Man City vs Bayer Leverkusen prediction

It was a rare off night for Erling Haaland at the weekend, though there’s a strong argument that he should have scored at least once against Newcastle.

In truth, City created enough chances at St James’ Park to suggest the result was just a bump in the road and they should get back on track especially with home advantage.

Man City to win, 3-1.

Head to head (h2h) history and results
