Man City transfer round-up: RB Leipzig block defender deal and 'new Messi' exit claim

Manchester City unveiled three of their four summer signings on Sunday in Erling Haaland, Julian Alvarez and Stefan Ortega Moreno.

Kalvin Phillips missed the fan event due to illness and City plan to keep spending despite splashing out nearly £100million on him and Haaland. They are targeting Brighton's highly-rated Spanish defender Marc Cucurella and Pep Guardiola feels his squad still needs one or two more tweaks.

Leaving is Raheem Sterling and he is quitting the Etihad after seven years to join Chelsea for an initial £45million. Mirror Sport has rounded up the latest Man City transfer news, gossip and rumours.
