Manchester City are not finished in the transfer market despite splashing out nearly £100million on Erling Haaland and Kalvin Phillips and are keen to strengthen at full-back.
Arsenal want Oleksandr Zinchenko and City are prepared to let the Ukrainian international leave after agreeing a fee with the Gunners. City are targeting Brighton's Spanish full-back Marc Cucurella as a replacement and the Seagulls are trying to ward them off by slapping a £50million price tag on his head.
Meanwhile, City legend Pablo Zabaleta has aimed a dig at the departed Raheem Sterling following the winger's transfer to Chelsea.
Mirror Football has the latest Manchester City transfer news, including updates on Cucurella and Zinchenko.
Zabaleta's parting shot at Sterling
Caught Offside carry a video clip from Pablo Zabaleta, accusing Raheem Sterling of disrespecting City and insisting he will not be remembered as a Blues legend.
Sterling has joined Chelsea for £50million after taking umbrage with City for not starting him enough in their big games. Zabaleta is disappointed with his attitude and says he will not go down as a Blues legend like Sergio Aguero, David Silva or Vincent Kompany.
He said: "The moment you leave, you always need to talk nicely about the club you've been playing for. I wish he could behave in that way."
City ready to move for Brighton's Cucurella
TalkSPORT claim City are finally ready to bid for Brighton's Marc Cucurella. City are said to be waiting for Oleksandr Zinchenko's £32million move to Arsenal to go through before they open talks with Brighton for Cucurella.
The Spanish full-back only joined Brighton a year ago from Getafe and he was one of the Seagulls' best performers last season. Brighton are braced for City's approach and will try to ward off their interest by demanding £50million for Cucurella.
Zinchenko has late change of heart over Arsenal move?
Website Highbury House claims Oleksandr Zinchenko may be having a late change of heart over his mooted move to Arsenal.
City have agreed a £30million transfer fee plus £2million in add-ons for Zinchenko and he is now supposed to have a medical at Arsenal before completing his switch. However The Sun reports that Zinchenko is in two minds over whether to stay and fight for his place or accept a new challenge at Arsenal.
Zinchenko turned down Wolves in similar circumstances in 2018, but it is hard to see how he can nail down a regular starting place in Pep Guardiola's first team because the Blues have such a talented squad.
