Manchester City will assess Aymeric Laporte in training before deciding if he can feature against Chelsea.
Laporte missed the 1-1 draw with Everton on Saturday with a back injury after being on the bench against Leeds. The Spanish defender joined Ruben Dias on the sidelines, who picked up a hamstring injury in the World Cup and has not featured for the Blues since domestic football started up again.
City's Spanish defender is back training with the group after his minor issue, but Guardiola was not ready to rule him back in when he spoke to reporters before the Chelsea game. Laporte will be looked at later on Wednesday to finalise selection plans for the trip to Stamford Bridge.

Despite injuries at centre-back, Guardiola has been able to name three in his starting XI for each of their last three matches. Manu Akanji and Nathan Ake have played all three, while John Stones and Laporte have shared the other minutes.
City went against their original plan in the summer transfer market and signed Akanji from Dortmund after growing concerns about the physical condition of their centre-backs, and the manager has said since that he has had to make many changes because of the inability of his players to go every three days.
Chelsea wanted to sign their former player Ake in the summer, but were not willing to meet City's asking price to allow the Blues to try to find a replacement in the market.
