AC Milan winger Rafael Leao is reportedly about to put pen to paper and sign a new five-year deal.
The 23-year-old has already recorded three goals and two assists in his five outings so far this season after notching 14 goals and 12 assists last term. With interest rife around the Portugal attacker, Milan wish to hand him a renewal with just two years left on his current deal.
That’s according to Gazzetta dello Sport which says agent Jorge Mendes will ensure his client is offering bumper wages after six-month negotiations. The Times says both City and Liverpool hold an active interest in Leao, who lifted the Serie A title in May.

It adds that the player currently has a £127m release clause in his contract - something that may increase with a new deal. Chelsea were said to be interested in Leao too, prior to their acquisition of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Meanwhile, 90min claims City are keeping tabs on Barcelona midfielder Gavi. The 18-year-old has played 51 times for his club since debuting last August and sees his contract run out next summer.
The playmaker is reportedly stalling over signing a new deal, opening the door for other European giants next year - including City. Gavi has played 10 times for Spain and is expected to be a key asset in their World Cup campaign this winter.
Liverpool, Manchester United and Bayern Munich are all also keeping tabs on the teenager, who has been nominated for the 2022 Golden Boy award.
