  • John Stones has announced he will leave Manchester City at the end of the season, concluding a decade-long spell with the club.
  • The England international will depart on a free transfer when his contract expires, having made 293 appearances for City since his £47.5m transfer from Everton in 2016.
  • During his tenure, Stones played a pivotal role in Manchester City securing six Premier League titles and achieving trebles in the 2018-19 and 2022-23 seasons, including the club's first Champions League title.
  • In an Instagram post, Stones expressed profound gratitude, referring to City as his “home for the last 10 years” and commending Pep Guardiola as “the best manager in the world”.
