Chelsea’s summer transfer window is continuing to heat up, with pre-season matches just around the corner. Thomas Tuchel is expected to be one of the busier coaches during this period, despite the Blues being one of only two sides yet to sign anyone.
It seems as though that is going to change soon, as football.london understands the Blues have reached an agreement with Manchester City over a deal for Raheem Sterling. The transfer fee is set to reach up to £50million, with personal terms agreed on a five-year contract and the option of an extra year.
While that deals with a problem in the forward line, there are still issues elsewhere to be addressed. Most notably, Tuchel lacks defenders, having lost both Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen as free agents.
