Manchester City will allow Aymeric Laporte to leave the Etihad Stadium this summer - according to reports - but only certain clubs will be sanctioned to move for the Spain international.
Speculation over Laporte is mounting as the centre-back has slipped down the pecking order this season. He has only started six matches in the Premier League all campaign long.
City manager Pep Guardiola has preferred to use Ruben Dias, John Stones, Manuel Akanji and Nathan Ake in his line-up and, as such, Laporte could find himself surplus to requirements. However, there is one slight catch for any potential suitors considering a swoop for the 28-year-old former Athletic Bilbao player.

Reports from Football Insider claim City are "unwilling" to strengthen a rival this summer after allowing three players to join fellow UK clubs last summer. Arsenal snapped-up Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus, while Raheem Sterling joined Chelsea after seven years with the Premier League champions.
It means Laporte might have to move abroad for his next adventure. He has played 171 games for City since a €65million transfer from La Liga midway through the 2017/2018 season.
Elsewhere, reports from Evening Standard suggest City are growing increasingly confident they might be able to sign Mateo Kovacic from Chelsea when the market reopens. Kovacic only has 15 months left on his contract and, as things stand, there has been little development when it comes to a proposed extension.
Chelsea have also made several high-profile signings this season. Reported interest from City in the midfielder was pinpointed by The Telegraph and Guardiola faces one or two uncertainties when it comes to the make up of his engine room beyond the summer.
Ilkay Gundogan will become a free agent if he does not put pen-to-paper on a new deal, while Bernardo Silva has also been subject to intense speculation. Barcelona have been heavily linked with both midfielders.
