Bukayo Saka has been touted as Manchester City's 'dream replacement' following the departure of Raheem Sterling.
According to the Mail Online, Pep Guardiola's side think the Gunners sensation is the perfect player to fill the gap left following Sterling's move to Chelsea. The report says that the north London side are accelerating contract talks with Saka following heightened interest from City.
The 20-year-old has less than two years remaining on his contract and City will be all too aware of Arsenal's recent frailties when it comes to agreeing contract renewals with their star players. This has alerted the Premier League champions to the possibility that they could tempt Saka away from the Emirates.

Elsewhere, City have rejected a £16million bid from Southampton for their teenage striker Liam Delap.
According to The Athletic, the south coast side have had their opening bid for the 19-year-old rebuffed as the Blues have ruled out the possibility of a permanent move. Delap has attracted loan interest from a host of Championship sides but the reported bid from the Saints represents the first concrete interest from another Premier League club.
The academy graduate is with City for their pre-season tour of the United States and played 20 minutes against Club America during their 2-1 win against the Mexican team.
