Manchester City enjoyed a celebratory afternoon at the Etihad this weekend as they beat Chelsea 1-0 on a sunny Sunday.
The party atmosphere was building throughout the day and the relaxed tone was reflected by Pep Guardiola's team selection. City's boss made nine changes to his side which beat Real Madrid so comprehensively earlier in the week. Two of those replacements linked up for the only goal of the game as the Blues capitalised on a Wesley Fofana mistake. Cole Palmer read the situation well to square the ball to Julian Alvarez to slot home.
Chelsea rarely threatened but Conor Gallagher came closest for the visitors when his header hit the post. In the baking sunshine, City were eventually able to celebrate their title success.
