Manchester City failed to reopen their six-point lead over Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table after being held to a goalless draw by Crystal Palace on Monday evening.
After being beaten 2-0 by Palace at the Etihad Stadium back in October, City failed to find a way past Patrick Vieira's side for a second time this term, this time at Selhurst Park. They created no shortage of opportunities but could not find a way past Vicente Guaita in the Palace goal.
Although the stalemate extended City's unbeaten run in the league to three matches, they have now won just two of their last four outings, paving the way for Liverpool to potentially reduce the gap to just a point. The Merseysiders face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday evening in what will signal their game in hand over Pep Guardiola's side.
