Man City's Erling Haaland 'not even at 50 per cent yet' as Premier League rivals sent 'scary' warning

Manchester City's Premier League rivals have been sent a warning about Erling Haaland's potential by a Blues legend.

The Norwegian has taken to life in England's top flight brilliantly having already racked up 11 goals in just seven Premier League matches. Couple this with the three goals he has managed in the Champions League and it already looks like he will manage a record-breaking season for the Blues, injury permitting.

Ahead of the Manchester derby on Sunday, Paul Dickov told Sky Sports that the 22-year-old can only get better over time. "There are all sorts of goals he scores, he has just been so impressive in every aspect of his game," Dickov explained.

"I think that the scary thing is for everybody else is that I don't think he is even at 50 per cent yet. He is still getting to know his teammates, his teammates are still getting to know him and the service he is getting, whether it be [Kevin] De Bruyne, Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, Bernardo Silva and all these talented players are going to create so many chances for him.

"His mentality is the one thing that sticks out for me. We can talk about him scoring goals but he makes so many runs in a game that his movement is fantastic, if he doesn't get the ball he never gets frustrated he just knows he is going to get a chance to score.

"I quite easily think that he is going to hit the 30-goal mark. The Premier League record is with Mo Salah at 32, 33, the way he is going he will break that quite easily.

"To think that he is only 22 years old, the room for improvement is there already - not just for this season - but for the next four or five years. It is going to be quite scary for a lot of the teams that come up against him."

Sunday will be the first occasion the boyhood City fan will face arch-rivals United for the Blues. Before the weekend, Pep Guardiola's team sit five points ahead of the Reds who have a game in hand over them.
