Manchester City defender Manuel Akanji is set to undergo surgery today and is facing up to 10 weeks out, Pep Guardiola has confirmed.

Akanji suffered a knock in the first-half of Man City’s defeat to Real Madrid in midweek and such was the discomfort that he didn’t reappear for the second half.
