It's being reported in Spain that Real Madrid are growing increasingly worried that City will beat them to the signature of Erling Haaland.
The Borussia Dortmund star is on the radar of just about every elite club in Europe. Josep Pedrerol of Spanish outlet El Chiringuito has claimed Madrid don't believe La Liga rivals Barcelona stand a chance of landing the Norwegian, though City remain a real threat.
Haaland has been in superb form this season, but the youngster has been struggling with injury of late and was absent as his side were sent crashing out of the Europa League against Rangers.

"Erling continues to have [injury] problems," boss Marco Rose admitted at the weekend. "He doesn't feel free. He still doesn't feel comfortable in his movements.
"What we don't want is to cause a relapse. Neither does he. We don't want to take risks with his health. I have to be honest, it may take him a few more matches."
Meanwhile, according to Fichajes, Pep Guardiola and Txiki Begiristain have turned their attention to Villarreal's teenage sensation Yeremy Pino.
Pino made headlines when he grabbed four goals last weekend in a 5-1 win over Espanyol. The Premier League champions are one of a number of clubs eyeing the Spanish starlet, with reports suggesting City and Liverpool are the ‘most interested’ parties.
Pino has a £67million release clause in his contract, a sign of just how highly he's rated by Villarreal.
