Manchester City hade made no secret of their desire to strengthen at left-back and with the pending departure of Oleksandr Zinchenko, this has become a priority for the club.
City have been heavily linked with a deal to sign Brighton full-back Marc Cucurella but due to the club demanding a fee of more than £40m for their prized asset, this has made the Blues look at other options during this window. According to Sport Witness as per Tutto Juve, Pep Guardiola's side are now pursuing a move for Stuttgart's 24-year-old full-back Borna Sosa.
The report says they face competition from Chelsea and Juventus for the Croatian defender and despite the fact that Sosa has three years left on his contract, there is growing belief that both the player and his club would be open to making a move to the Premier League before the transfer window closes on September 1.

Elsewhere, Villarreal defender Pau Torres has now been 'offered' to Manchester City as a potential deal for the 25-year-old appears to be drawing nearer.
According to Sports Illustrated as per German journalist Florian Plettenburg, the Spanish centre-back's management are in talks with several clubs - including Man City. Pep Guardiola's side would have to part with a transfer fee of more than €50m in order to get the deal done, but with a range of European heavyweights also interested in the player, an early bid could give the club a serious advantage in what could be a major transfer saga.
Chelsea's recent signing of Kalidou Koulibaly will give City hope that should Torres want to make the move to the Premier League, his most likely destination would be the Etihad as the number of clubs that could afford his services are starting to dwindle as the transfer window rolls on.
