The away side doubled their lead nine minutes after the restart after quick-thinking from Ake inside the Leeds penalty area saw the Dutch defender prod home following a Ruben Dias flick-on. Unable to issue any kind of response in the final third, the Citizens added a third goal through Jesus 12 minutes from time as the Brazilian kept his cool in a one-on-one situation with Meslier.
Inflicting one final blow to Leeds in the dying embers of the match, Fernandinho's low drive found the bottom left corner to round off a professional performance from the league leaders. City have now reduced the goal difference gap to Liverpool to just one and lead the Reds by a solitary point.
