Manchester City have reportedly contacted Napoli about the availability of Victor Osimhen.
The 24-year-old centre-forward has been in outstanding form this season in Serie A. MEN Sport understands that Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is a fan of the striker but the Reds have opted to make Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane their number one transfer target.
While United may be looking at other options, Sky Sports Germany understands that City are willing to swoop in. According to their reporter Florian Plettenberg, the Blues have shown an interest in the striker despite having Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez on their books.

It is not difficult to see why City have reportedly become interested in Osimhen. The Nigeria international has scored 21 goals in 27 appearances for the Serie A leaders.
Elsewhere, Fichajes are reporting that Real Madrid are interested in signing Joao Cancelo in the summer. Cancelo left City on loan for Bayern Munich in January in a bid for more game time. However, he has not been the regular starter that he may have expected to be, leading to other clubs expressing interest.
In recent weeks Chelsea and Barcelona have both been credited with an interest in Cancelo but Carlo Ancelotti's men are now the latest side to be linked. The report claims that Real are looking to strengthen their full-back options and have been made aware that Bayern will not trigger the option-to-buy clause in Cancelo's loan agreement.
