Man City look to bring in new goalkeeper on free transfer
City are looking to sign goalkeeper Stefan Ortega on a free transfer.
Ortega, 29, has been at Arminia Bielefield since 2017 and was their first choice last season during their relegation from the Bundesliga. With his contract up this summer, the German is exploring other options and open to a move to the Etihad.

City, meanwhile, are happy to bring in another goalkeeper after loaning James Trafford out to Bolton and selling Gavin Bazunu to Southampton. Scott Carson has signed a new deal at the club, while there is no suggestion yet that Ortega coming in would mean Zack Steffen was leaving; Steffen has been Ederson's No.2 for the last two seasons and has primarily played in domestic cup competitions.
La Liga president hints at move for Man City's Bernardo Silva despite Barcelona financial issues
La Liga president Javier Tebas has hinted that Bernardo Silva could still join Barcelona from Manchester City despite Barca's financial struggles.
The El Clasico club's financial issues have been well documented, especially after they signed Sergio Aguero from the Blues but struggled to register him. High player wages have led to some of the club's biggest stars, like Lionel Messi, leaving because the Catalan side could not afford to keep them.
Despite all of this, Tebas believes that Barcelona could still swoop for Silva and Robert Lewandowski without hindering their financial status further.
