Declan Rice could move to Manchester City this summer, with the West Ham captain attracting the attentions of some of the world's biggest clubs - and Pep Guardiola's side have now reportedly entered the race.
According to the Daily Star, City are eyeing the England midfielder as Pep Guardiola looks to overhaul his midfield this summer, with Ilkay Gundogan yet to sign a new deal at the club and Kalvin Phillips having struggled to earn regular game time since his move from Leeds. The report claims that Phillips could be offered as Rice's replacement at West Ham, which could provide City with an advantage over their rivals.
Rice is also being tipped with a move to join clubs like Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool with his impressive World Cup confirming his status as an elite midfielder at international level.

Rice has played well in a 4-3-3 for England and would work well in City's system with his ability to play either in a holding role or as a box-to-box midfielder and with City's approach of signing English players having been evident with the signings of Phillips and Jack Grealish it is certainly one to watch.
Elsewhere, reports in Spain are linking Julian Alvarez with a move to Barcelona, with the World Cup winner having been unable to establish himself as the first-choice forward at the Etihad with the form of Erling Haaland. According to Fichajes, Alvarez could be targeted with City facing possible sanctions this summer amid an investigation into the club's finances.
Alvarez has scored four Premier League goals this season, as many as he scored at the World Cup as the starting striker for Argentina. With Robert Lewandowski ageing, it could be the idea of Barcelona to target Alvarez to be their main goalscorer in the long-term, with the 23-year-old showing all the qualities of a top striker in Qatar.
