Manchester City have already made more than £40million in prize money alone from their run to the Champions League quarter-finals.
Pep Guardiola's side comfortably qualified for the knockout rounds after a tough draw pitted them against Borussia Dortmund, Copenhagen and Sevilla in Group G, finishing five points clear at the top. The unbeaten run to the last eight has continued after a 1-1 draw in Leipzig was followed up with a resounding 7-0 thrashing three weeks later.
German opposition again awaits in the form of perennial domestic champions Bayern Munich and City know their side of the draw has them on a collision course with either Chelsea or Real Madrid should they advance to the final four. While winning the Champions League for the first time is clearly the ambition, the club would also be richly rewarded for doing so.

City received £13.77million (€15.64m) before even playing a match due to their participation in the group stages. In winning four of their six matches once the action was underway, and drawing the other two, the club was rewarded with £11.5million (€13.06m) for their performances.
Another £8.45million (€9.6m) followed for reaching the round of 16 and an additional £9.33million (€10.6m) was banked progressing past RB Leipzig, taking the total to fractionally over £43million (€48.9m).
The rewards only continue to rise. If Guardiola's side can overcome the manager's previous employers then another £11million (€12.5m) would come for reaching the final four.
From there, should City replicate their feats of 2021 and reach a second final in the space of three years, £13.64million (€15.5m) more would come their way in prize money. Making history and going one step further by winning the Champions League is expected to bank another £3.96million (€4.5m), taking the potential pot to £71.65million (€81.4m).
