Here are your Manchester City evening headlines on Wednesday, September 28:
Laporte injury update
Spain are not concerned about Aymeric Laporte's injury ahead of the World Cup, as Luis Enrique has hinted the Manchester City man will be recovered in time to represent them in Qatar.
Laporte is yet to feature for City this season after undergoing surgery in the summer, although he posted recently that he has returned to training in some capacity. Pep Guardiola had originally estimated he would return by mid-September but later revised that to October.

That meant he missed Spain's two Nations League fixtures this week — their final games before the World Cup. But Enrique appears confident that Laporte won't be an injury doubt when he names his squad to take to Qatar next month.

City vs United referee announced
Manchester United and Erik ten Hag have been handed a good omen ahead of the derby against rivals Manchester City this Sunday.
Ten Hag will come face to face with Pep Guardiola at the Etihad Stadium this weekend, as United and City take part in the most eagerly awaited fixture in the city's football calendar. The Reds come into the match having won four successive Premier League games, although the recent postponements following The Queen's death and the international break mean that nearly a month has passed since the 3-1 victory over Arsenal at Old Trafford.
However, United's players have been in fine form during the international break, and aside from Martin Dubravka's withdrawal from the Slovakia squad, have so far come through the domestic lull with a clean bill of health.
Find out who the referee for the derby is here.
