Manchester City defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis has joined Burnley on a season-long loan.
Harwood-Bellis, 20, goes on loan for the third successive campaign as he aims to continue his development away from the Etihad. After appearing on Pep Guardiola's radar in 2019 following a standout season in the academy, the Stockport youngster made appearances in the Carabao Cup, FA Cup and Champions League before heading on loan to Blackburn for the second half of the 2020/21 campaign.
He spent the first half of last season on loan at Vincent Kompany's Anderlecht before moving to Stoke for the rest of the season and will now have a year at Burnley where he will be reunited with Kompany. Despite City making the player available to sell this summer for the right offer, there will be no option for the Clarets to buy Harwood-Bellis at the end of the season.

Harwood-Bellis becomes the second City player to sign up for the Championship side in a day following confirmation that young right-back CJ Egan-Riley has signed on a permanent deal after running his contract down at the Etihad. Securing a move early will allow him to bed in at Turf Moor for pre-season and give himself the best chance of starting the new season in the best possible condition.
City have no intention of starting their Premier League title defence with one fewer centre-back than they had last season. Chelsea are looking to buy Nathan Ake, but the player will not be considered available for sale unless City not only receive a bid north of £50m but also have a replacement lined up to buy.
