Manchester City have been labelled boring at times this season, simply because they're too good for the rest of the Premier League. Bit weird really.
Pep Guardiola's side already hold an 11-point lead at the top of the table, despite some teams not even being at the halfway point of their campaign - and by 'some teams', we obviously mean Burnley who last played a league game in about 2003.
It's evidently a ridiculous claim to suggest City are boring, but one thing that is a little boring about the club is their projected transfer business this month.
Guardiola isn't expected to delve into the January market despite his desire to sign a striker. So, if City aren't going to sign a frontman this month, what better way to spend your time than mulling over the strikers they have signed in previous winter windows?
Robbie Fowler, Georgios Samaras, Emile Mpenza, Benjani Mwaruwari and Edin Dzeko make up the glittering alumni that are the club's previous January striker recruits. It's now becoming a little more apparent why Pep isn't so keen on signing a striker this month.
Ross Jackson was joined by City Is Ours editor Dom Farrell on a Facebook Live stream on the MEN page to discuss City's previous January striker signings, and Ross kicked off by asking the question we know you've all been absolutely desperate to know the answer to.
RJ: I'm going to take Dzeko out of the equation here but if you could pick one of the other four strikers that we've discussed to, in their pomp, come into Guardiola's City now, who would you pick?"
DF: "Because he was so talented and he was clearly a rough diamond and it all went wrong, I'd love to see Pep get into Georgios Samaras' head.
"It might have been a little bit too intense for Georgios. He would probably have ended up playing him on the wing a little bit and there would have been all sorts going on.
"He could drop deep and link up play so a big Pep tick there.
"I think Fowler would have been a situation like where he had a bit of a clash with [Sergio] Aguero, but Aguero reshaped his game - I'm not sure Fowler would have bothered.
"Mind you, the Liverpool version of Fowler, when he was in his pomp, was obviously great. But Georgios Samaras playing under Pep Guardiola in his prime, it could have been a very different career.
"It would have been more Ruud van Nistelrooy than Afonso Alves if we're talking about Eredivisie signings. I think it could have been a really sweet deal.
