Manchester City's squad for the 2022/23 season has now been officially confirmed by the Premier League following the end of the summer transfer window.
No Premier League squad can contain more than 17 players who do not fulfil the 'home grown player' criteria, while the rest of the squad, up to the limit of 25 players, must be 'home grown'. City have 14 non-home grown players.
A player is 'home grown' if they have been registered, irrespective of nationality, to any English club for at least three years before their 21st birthday. In City's case, Nathan Ake is the only 'home grown' player who was not born in the United Kingdom.
