Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak has rejected assertions that the treble winners have financially strong-armed their way to success.
City picked up the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup in a stellar season for Pep Guardiola’s men, but the success arrived under the cloud of 115 charges levelled at them by the Premier League earlier this year over alleged breaches of the League’s profit and sustainability regulations over more than a decade.
