Here are your Manchester City evening headlines for Saturday, June 18.
Four signings could complete sensational window with £0 net spend
It’s already been a very good window for City with Erling Haaland’s arrival confirmed, and Julian Alvarez on his way after completing a deal in January. There’s still plenty of time left though, and things look set to heat up.
Kalvin Phillips and Marc Cucurella look to be the next targets, if reports are to be believed. A defensive midfielder and left-back appear to be the priority areas, so the pair certainly make sense.

And with some players being linked with departures, there’s the potential for City to make some money as well. With the likes of Gabriel Jesus, Raheem Sterling and Bernardo Silva being touted for moves, a zero net spend could potentially be achieved.
Underrated Haaland quality is what Guardiola wanted from Kane
There’s no doubt what the biggest signing of the summer is already, with Haaland now officially a City player. The Norway international is being tipped to take the Premier League by storm, having established himself as one of Europe’s hottest properties.
Haaland’s arrival of course comes less than 12 months after City were denied in their pursuit of Harry Kane. A new striker has clearly been top of Pep Guardiola’s priorities for some time, but Tottenham were not willing to play ball.
With Haaland now secure though, Guardiola finally has a quality in his new striker that he’d been looking for with Kane. Not only will he bring goals, but his creativity provides so many opportunities for City.
