Manchester City got their hands on a sixth Premier League title and earned themselves the top ranked Premier League prize money, while Manchester United slumped into the Europa League pool after a disappointing campaign.
The Premier League's prize money is a portion of the revenue earned by England's top flight from its various television deals, and distributed to clubs based on their league position, with each higher position bringing in just under £3 million more than the one below.
The final day of the season certainly lived up to its hype at the top and bottom of the table. Starting with relegation, Jack Harrison's 94th-minute winner away at Brentford secured Leeds' place in England's top flight next season, with Burnley relegated after a 2-0 home defeat to Newcastle United.
