A man has been charged with the murder of a woman in a home in east London.

Alana Odysseos, 32, died after being found with stab wounds at a property in Walthamstow at about 3am on Monday.

Shaine March, 45, of Surrey Quays, south-east London, has been charged with murder, Scotland Yard said on Tuesday morning.

March and Odysseos were known to each other, police said.

Odysseos was found with stab wounds by police who were called to reports of a woman being injured.

March was charged in the early hours of Tuesday and was due to appear at Barkingside magistrates court later in the day.
