Man charged with assaulting woman found nude on street

Police arrested the man after the woman was found nude on a street. (Alan Porritt/AAP PHOTOS)

A woman has been found naked and screaming on a suburban street after allegedly being trapped and raped by a man in a nearby house.

An ACT police patrol spotted the woman on a street in Canberra's inner north about 7pm on Monday and immediately took her into their car, where she told officers she had been confined to a nearby home for a number of days.
