A man has been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of dad-of-four Keith Conlon on a south Dublin farm.
The 35-year-old was on life support since he was shot to facilitate organ donation before the machine was switched off yesterday.
It's believed that Conlon, nicknamed Bono, was with two pals and his lurcher dog on farmland when another man fired warning shots at the animal.
After the dog was shot and killed, words were exchanged before more bullets were fired and Conlon was hit by a bullet in the head.
A 53-year-old legal professional has been in Garda custody since he was arrested at the scene at Hazelgrove Farm just off the Blessington Road on Tuesday.
He will appear before Tallaght District Court this morning.
A short garda statement read: "The man (50s) arrested in relation to a fatal shooting incident at Hazelgrove Farm, Tallaght on Tuesday, 22nd February, 2022, has been charged.
"He remains in custody at Tallaght Garda Station and will appear before Tallaght District Court this morning."
