Man charged after London MP Mike Freer reported ‘abusive and threatening’ phone call

A man has been charged after north London MP Mike Freer reported receiving a threatening phone call last week.

James Phillips, 46, from Wood Green, is set to appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday charged with malicious communications and assaulting a police officer.
