Man charged after 'disturbance' in Glasgow which left person with head injury

A man has been charged following a 'disturbance' in Glasgow which saw another man rushed to hospital with a head injury.

Emergency services swooped on Ruchazie Place in the east end of the city at around 4pm on Tuesday, November 29, following reports of an incident in the area.

It was there that officers discovered a 32-year-old man with a head injury at the scene. He was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary to receive treatment. The extent of his wounds, as well as his current condition, is not yet known.

A heavy police presence was felt in the area as cops searched nearby gardens and cordoned off the entire vicinity, according to residents. A probe was also launched to establish exactly how the man came to be hurt.

As a result, it has now been confirmed that a 32-year-old man has been arrested and charged in relation with the event. He will appear in the dock at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday.

Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 4.05pm on Tuesday, 29 November, police were called to a report of a disturbance on Ruchazie Place, Glasgow.

"Officers attended and a 32-year-old man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary and released after treatment. A 32-year-old man was been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

"He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 30 November. Enquiries are continuing."
