A man caught at a £400,000 cannabis farm is facing a lengthy jail term.
Le Van Thang, 32, was held during a raid at the converted unit at Vale of Leven Industrial Estate in Dumbarton on October 22, 2019.
Prosecutor Lindsey Dalziel told the High Court in Glasgow: "It had been split into 10 tented cubicles, six which contained the cannabis plants at varying stages of maturity.
"One of the cubicles had a bed, a table and a food preparation area."
Attempts had been made to mask the stench from the drugs by wafting in the smell of vinegar.
Police had initially tried to force entry before getting in via a fire door.
Van Thang and another man were found there having attempted to escape.
Miss Dalziel said a total of 470 cannabis plants as well as 260 saplings were seized.
DNA linked Van Thang to the drugs factory.
The advocate depute: "It is apparent he had all the equipment necessary - together with the knowledge and experience - to grow cannabis to completion by maintaining a suitable environment."
The court heard the haul had a potential value of between £264,000 and £436,000.
Van Thang had originally arrived in the UK from Vietnam. His immigration status is currently unknown.
He pled guilty at the hearing to being involved in the production of cannabis.
Sentencing was deferred for reports until March 17 in Paisley.
