A man brutally attacked his work colleague with a hammer over a message sent from his partner, a court heard.
Dean Simpkin launched the attack on Christopher Littler outside his house on July 9 last year, Liverpool Crown Court was told. He 'completely overreacted' after he was confronted about a message sent from his partner.
The Liverpool Echo reports how Simpkin and Mr Littler had been at the pub together on the evening of the incident. When Mr Littler returned home, his partner told him she had received a message from Simpkin's partner accusing her of selling photographs of herself to another man.
