Officers are appealing for help after a man was attacked in a park in County Durham - and a large group is believed to have recorded the assault on their phones.
Durham Constabulary was called after reports that a male was assaulted at Riverside Park in Chester-le-Street at around 7pm on Monday, July 18. Officers said a large group was present during the incident and may have recorded the assault on mobile phones.
The force is now appealing to anyone with information about the incident to get in touch with the police. They are also asking for anyone with any footage of the assault to come forward.

A spokesperson for Chester-le-Street Police said: "Police are appealing for witnesses after a male was assaulted at Riverside Park in Chester-le-Street. The incident occurred at around 7pm on Monday 18th July.
"A large group were present during the incident and may have recorded the assault on mobile phones. If anyone has any footage of the incident or any information which may assist the investigation, please contact PC 9320 Bowes direct by email scott.bowes1@durham.police.uk quoting reference number CRI00413270."
