Man 'assaulted' amid Fife street incident as three men arrested

A man has been 'assaulted' amid am incident on a Scots street, which has resulted in three men being arrested.

Earlier today, emergency services, including Police Scotland and Scottish Ambulance Service, scrambled to an incident taking place at Orkney Place in Kirkcaldy, Fife shortly after 2pm.

Multiple cop cars and several officers were understood to be in attendance. The force has now confirmed they were called to reports of a man having been assaulted on the street.

The exact nature of the incident remains unclear. The extent of the man's injuries, or if he was taken to hospital as a result of the attack, is also not yet known.

Three men in their 30s have since been arrested in relation with the event. A probe has been launched and enquiries are continuing to establish the specific circumstances.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a man having been assaulted on Orkney Place in Kirkcaldy around 2pm on Friday, 23 September.

“Three men, 34, 34 and 30, have been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing.”
